Empowering Young People to Be a Better Version of Themselves
In September 2014, President Obama issued a challenge to cities, towns, counties and tribes across the country to become “MBK Communities.” This challenge represents a call to action for all members of our communities, men in particular, as they often sit at the intersection of many of the vital forces and structural components needed to enact sustainable change.
Get in touch today to learn more about how the My Brother's Keeper Alliance South Carolina is accepting the challenge to make a difference in communities throughout South Carolina.

2019 TYWANZA SANDERS LEGACY FOUNDATION
Camp Wanza Young Entreprenuers Camp
Tywanza Sanders, 26-year-old victim of the 2015 massacre at Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church, pursued his passion for entrepreneurship from an early age. Building on his success as the proprietor of a conventional lemonade stand outside his mother Felicia’s beauty salon, Sanders embraced the business mindset and continued to seek out new opportunities through his adolescent years into adulthood. Within his family, Sanders was also known for organizing summer camps and activities for his younger cousins, making a YEScarolina summer camp focused on entrepreneurship an ideal memorial to his legacy. Our MBK Director served as a YEScarolina judge for the camp.
